Catherine and I have known each other since college, and I’ve always admired her grace, and kindness, and knew whoever she married, he’d be a pretty awesome guy. So when I heard she got engaged, I knew I wanted to shoot her wedding, and capture this love story, and I’m so honored that I got to do just that.

Catherine’s garters were from mother’s wedding dress, the vintage lace and blue flowers perfectly coordinated with her wedding. Those gorgeous flats are from the Betsey Johnson Blue collection, and all I can say is if you have anything Betsey Johnson at your wedding, you are doing it right. Remember me saying her groom was going to be awesome? Well her beautiful bracelet and earrings were a gift from him, and added just the right amount of sparkle.

Both being accomplished people, they like to kick back and relax together, and with friends and family. The two of them shared many laughs with their wedding party, making every moment one to remember.

Joshua and Catherine met at a work party welcoming him to Texas. They immediately had chemistry and talked the entire time. He didn’t waste any time and asked for her number that day, inviting her to a group outing soon after. After that he asked her on their first date, and they had their first kiss.

The day that he proposed, he told her his car had broken down, and asked to be picked up on her way back from work. He sent her his location, and when she arrived, it was at a picnic area where they had their first picnic. It was the date where they really first began to seriously talk about their future. He had thought of every detail, putting on a suit and having a blanket laid out with candles, wine and music playing, even bringing along her cat, Killian, who wore a little tux to this special event.

This wedding was filled with close friends stepping in to make it even more special. Even their officiant was a close friend, who had known Catherine for years. It was great hearing him tell their story, giving a new perspective, making sure to tease her soon-to-be husband as any good friend would.

It was clear how much these two are loved. People came from all over the world to lend their support and celebrate their love. Their guest list was so diverse and it was great to see everyone mingle and get to know each other. Added bonus: His sister did not skip a beat, and suited up for the occasion.

Congratulations Catherine & Joshua! We couldn’t be happier for you and wish you nothing but the best in your new ventures. New York is lucky to have you ❤
