This February wedding had us excited for months before the actual day. With every detail that we learned, we had pictures in our heads of what it would be like. The flowers, colors, and location all working together to create a perfect ambiance. We were not remotely disappointed.
Anslee and Colton first met in Jr. High. They had Theater and Science together, and Anslee began developing a small crush on him but nothing really became of it until High School. Their sophomore year, they again had a class together, and she would cleverly ask him for help, even though she what she was doing. But those moments with him were the beginning of their relationship. The more time they spent together, the more they knew they were meant to be.
“I couldn’t imagine my life with him.”
Anslee’s grandmother passed away in March of 2017 and she always told her that her piano would be hears. Anslee loved to play it any time she visited her grandparents. Colton asked for her hand and also asked if he could have the piano tuned and polished to surprise her with it. After it was worked on, he had it delivered to his own home.
“When I walked in his house and saw the piano, I started crying like a baby. Then Colton took the ring out of the piano bench, got on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I started crying even harder. After I said yes, he asked me to play it. I was able to play it for the first time being tuned and the crying started all over again. This was such an emotional moment in so many ways. I loved how he took the time to make that moment so special. “
Anslee and Colton have a deep Christian faith and a love of their families. Supported by both family and great group of friends, they stood at the altar and vowed to love each other for their lifetimes.
The rest of the night went by in a blur. Pizza and drinks were served, dancing and laughing was everywhere. We could feel how close knit of a group they were, with everyone there 100% invested in making their wedding day the most special day of their lives.
Anslee & Colton, we wish you both the best in every day of your lives. Thank you for having us be a part of your wedding day.
